Experience

Christiaan has 15 years of experience as a risk, actuarial, and IT consultant. His experience is rooted in the Life and Risk Management practice, but he is also acquainted with Health. Christiaan is experienced in setting up projects that require a strong IT backbone and can bridge the gap between high-level actuarial requirements, technical specifications, and implementation.

Christiaan worked for Milliman from 2016 to 2021. During 2021 and 2022, he worked for a start-up as the Chief Information Officer. Prior to 2016, Christiaan worked at a secondment company for eight years. During this period, he worked on cash flow modelling, Solvency II implementations, project management, actuarial reporting, and business development.

Christiaan is experienced in system design, technical and functional architecture, and programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python, VBA), databases (SQL), both in multithreaded and distributed programming. From his AI background, Christiaan has experience in techniques like machine learning, in which he has given practicals at the University of Utrecht for three years.
