
Daniel Perlman
Dan Perlman is a consulting actuary with Milliman's Health Practice. He is located in Denver, Colorado, and joined the firm in 2009.
Experience
Dan's experience includes supporting carriers with commercial product pricing and rate filings, financial modeling, and risk adjustment. His experience spans a range of health product types: traditional health benefit plans (including those in the ACA-compliant markets), dental, vision, level-funded arrangements and stop-loss policies, and limited-benefit indemnity products.
Dan assists clients with understanding the implications of emerging issues in healthcare reform. He has worked extensively on design, pricing, reserving, and analysis of ACA-compliant individual and small group health benefit plans since the inception of that market.
Dan assists carriers with financial projections, including analysis of risk-based capital requirements. He supports health clients with statutory financial reporting and actuarial opinions.
Dan provides conceptual and technical support in the development of Milliman's Medical Underwriting Guidelines™ and assists health carriers with reviewing and analyzing their underwriting practices.
